The Central Board of Secondary Education exam 2021 most likely to held in July just like the previous year following Covid protocols. Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal will announce more clarity along with the format and exam dates on June 1.
In many states, holding CBSE board exams in 19 major subjects was discussed and many states have supported it. For the rest of the other subjects, alternate ways will introduce to evaluate student’s performance like internal assessments. Along with these, another option discussed in the meeting — holding 90-minute exams for these 19 major subjects in schools.
However, the concerned bodies and members have asked other states to keep their views on the options till the end of this month. The decision made after more than a month of uncertainty regarding the CBSE Class 12 board exam.
Who all in the meeting?
The meeting conducted on Sunday was chaired by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh including Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank, Information and Broadcasting Minister Prakash Javadekar, and Minister of Women and Child Smriti Zubin Irani.
Apart from them, education ministers of all states and the education secretaries and chairpersons of the state examination boards attended the meeting held on 24th May 2021 regarding CBSE Class 12th exam.
Besides, Ramesh Pokriyal asked students, parents, and teachers to share their valuable suggestions in respect of board exams and other exams through his Twitter account.
Ramesh Pokhriyal said this is because PM Narendra Modi asked for “wide consultations” with everyone before a final decision made on the CBSE board exam 2021.
