The Punjab Government education department is inviting TET (Teacher Eligibility Test) candidates to join them as Primary Teachers. Interested candidates can apply through an online process. A total of 5,994 vacant posts are offered through this recruitment drive.

The recruitment drive will commence on October 14 and the last date to apply for the candidates will be November 10, till 5 PM for the posts of ETT teachers. (Elementary Teacher Training).
The recruitment process will be completed with as much transparency as it can, said Bains.
He said that the applicants have to give an objective type written test of 200 marks to become eligible for this post. As for the age limit, applicants of the general category aged between 18 to 37 years can apply. And age relaxation is given to reserved and other categories.
“A minimum 50% marks in Class XII for general category candidates and 45% marks for reserved category applicants is mandatory,” mentioned indianexpress.
Also, after passing TET-1 along with having two years of ETT course the applicants will become eligible for these posts.
“Out of these 5,994 posts, 975 are specially reserved for women and 2,994 backlog posts are also included in these posts.”
About application fees, ₹1,000 will be paid by general category applicants and ₹500 for the rest.
