After being attacked by Nihnags while he was doing his duty ASI Harjeet Singh become a symbol of ‘Corna Warriors’. The police officer went 7 and a half hour surgery to get his hand attacked with sword getting treated.
The sheer display of valor has made Harjeet Singh a symbol of courage and respect. Now, as he is recovering the Punjab Police started #MainBhiHarjeetSingh to salute their officer. Police officers from across the country also joined in the initiative.
As a part of the move, police personnel are replacing their own name with Harjeet on their badges. “I will wear a badge and call myself Harjeet Singh tomorrow. We all will be Harjeet Singh because, for the society, Harjeet Singh symbolizes the two top attributes of a good cop which is not meeting violence with violence or resorting to tit for tat and showing courage in the face of fire“, said DGP of Punjab, Dinkar Gupta talking about the move yesterday. People were also called to share their pictures with the hashtag.
