Former Indian batsman, Sanjay Manjrekar, has been dropped out of BCCI, commentators panel as per a report by News 18. The report, which surely hasn’t been officially confirmed, adds that BCCI was reportedly not happy with his work as a commentator.
The doubt of BCCI ditching Manjrekar gets stronger if one considers his absence in Dharamshala for the first ODI between India and South Africa. Though it was called off due to bad weather, other BCCI panel commentators Sunil Gavaskar, L Sivaramakrishnan, and Murali Kartik were, however, present, at the ground.

The report further adds that it’s doubtful that Manjrekar would be considered for the IPL commentator panel, which has now been postponed to April 15. “Maybe he will be left out from the IPL panel too. At this stage, it is not on top of our minds. But the fact is they are not happy with his work,” a source was quoted as saying by Mirror.
Manjrekar has been the news for all the wrong reasons lately. During the World Cup 2019, he was criticised for calling Jadeja a “bit and pieces” player and was later crictisced for questioning the credentials of Harsha Bhogle during the historic Pink-ball Test against Bangladesh in Kolkata.
