Willie Garson is an actor known for his outstanding role as Carrie Bradshaw’s best male friend Stanford Blatch in Sex and the City. He dies at the age of 57 today’s morning. His son, Nathen Garson, confirmed his father’s death in a post on Instagram. However, the cause was not immediately disclosed.
Apart from his recognized role in “Sex and the City”, Willie Garson was known for his role as con man Mozzie in a TV show named “White Collar”. Garson appeared in 30 movies, including the 2008 film Sex and the City and its 2010 sequel Sex and the City 2.

He has served on the advisory board for You Gotta Believe. It is an organization that helps find youth permanent families. Garson became a parent in 2010 when he adopted his son, Nathen, who was 7 at the time.

Garson’s birth name was William Paszamant. He was born on February 20, 1964, in New Jersey to Muriel Paszamant and Donald M. Paszamant. At the age of 13, he started training at ‘The Actor’s Institute in New York’ and graduated in 1985 from Wesleyan University in Connecticut, where he majored in psychology and theatre, according to the university.
After graduating from Wesleyan University in Connecticut, Garson landed guest roles on several television shows, including Family Ties and Cheers. Some of his popular shows are White Collar, And Just Like That, Quantum Leap, Whole Day Down, Girl Meets World, and more.
