The ship is sailing!! The giant container vessel, MV Ever Given, after remaining stuck in the Suez Canal for the past 6 days has finally begun moving. The Suez Canal on Sunday was reopened after the trade route was cleared. News reports said that first the stern of the boat was moved away from the canal’s western bank, followed by aligning the ship with the course of the route. The blocking caused by the ship, for the unaware, had halted 12% of the world’s trade.
Ever Given has been a topic of discussion over the past few days and the news of it refloating again surely inspired some memes.
