Sourav Ganguly Hailed A Hero From ‘Another Balcony’ After He Saves A Mango Tree Uprooted by Cyclone Amphan

You must have seen the visuals of the aftermath of Cyclone Amphan that wreaked havoc in parts of West Bengal and Odisha. From waterlogged roads to uprooted trees and cracked buildings, the cyclone really hit the states and people residing their bad.

Former Indian Team captain and the current president of BCCI Sourav Ganguly, who is also a resident of West Bengal, was amongst the many who were affected by Amphan.

After the cyclone had passed, he found that a mango tree in his yard was uprooted due to the intensity of the storm. It was then he took on to himself to put it back into the position and was hailed a hero from yet another balcony.

He posted the picture on his twitter account. “The mango tree in the house had to be lifted, pulled back and fixed again .. strength at its highest,” Ganguly captioned his post.

The same reminded people of the occasion when Ganguly took off his t-shirt at the Lord’s Cricket ground to celebrate India’s win against England in the NatWest tri-series final in 2002.
