Telangana Chief Minister (CM) K Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR) has always been in favour of extending lockdown. Even before Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended the national lockdown till 3rd May CM KCR called it to be extended till the 3rd of June.
Now, taking a step for the state he has extended the lockdown till 7th May. That is 4 days more than the national lockdown. The CM also informed that a Cabinet meeting would be held on May 5th to review the situation.
Not only this the Telangana Government has barred food delivery services in the state till further notice. This comes after a food delivery rider tested positive for COVID-19 on Sunday in a Delhi like incident. Popular apps like Swiggy and Zomato would not be allowed to deliver cooked meals from Monday. The state has recorded 858 positive cases so far.

Groceries apps such as BigBasket and Grofers, however, would be allowed to ply. The central government meanwhile has also canceled the idea of opening e-commerce as regular from Monday.
