As the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced its contact list for the players on Thursday India’s former captain and most admired cricketer of the country M.S. Dhoni was missing from the list.
The netizens and MSD fans have termed this axing of Dhoni as an official end to his International cricketing career. Though Dhoni has not made any announcement in this regards MSDians trended #ThankYouDhoni thanking him for his contributions.
Dhoni who has not represented the country since last year’s world cup semi-final against New Zealand was expected to return to the side for the upcoming tour of New Zealand as the “captain cool” has hinted his availability from January.
Dhoni is the second Indian captain after Kapil Dev to have won the World Cup for the country. He is also the only captain in the history of the game to have won all the ICC trophies.
