This time again, the Kings XI Punjab is looking for replacements of its squad. The captain of the squad R. Ashwin has already been traded off to Delhi in a deal that brought spinner Jagadeesha Suchith and INR 1.5 Crores to the purse. Joe Root

In T20s Root has got close to 900 runs under his belt with an average strike rate of 126.31. Further, the vacuum of captaincy created after the trade-off Ashwin can be filled by Root with a knocking performance in the coming season. Joe Root, with his leading game-changing skills, can bring the rank of KXIP up in the table and might raise KXIP as a winning aspirant.
In the 2019 IPL season, Joe Root was not allowed to participate by the England cricket board due to world cup. But this time, many teams will look forward to having this player by their side. KXIP needs to be quick enough to bring Root to the team.
Glenn Maxwell
KXIP has had its best run in the history of IPL courtesy of Glenn Maxwell. In the 2014 season when the team reached to the final and was runner up (best performance so far) Maxwell was the player of the tournament. The Aussie has proven his mettle to be the winning element of any team. Maxwell was released to Delhi Capitals in the 2018 IPL season. In 2014 season the Australian all-rounder scored 552 runs with a phenomenal strike rate of 187.75. Glenn Maxwell scored 310 runs in the 2017 IPL season with a remarkable strike rate.
Glenn has also proved to be a useful bowler and chips in with wickets in the middle order. Maxwell, as an opener alongside Gayle, is an unbeatable combination that can threaten any opponent team. In the 2020 IPL season, Maxwell must strike in the eye of KXIP. However, the big question is whether Maxwell would be available for the next year’s IPL? The Aussie all-rounder has announced that he would be staying away from the game for some time due to some mental health issues.

Mitchell Marsh
Kings XI Punjab is in dire need of a quality all-rounder who can prove to be a game-changer for them. Mitchell Marsh, with his experience of batting and wicket-taking bowling, has the power to lead the team in crunch situations. His T20 batting records might not be that impressive, but, he can be the game-changer on his day.
Marsh’s batting skills and his bowling speed of 140 kph can prove to be a game-changer. Marsh has that potential to destroy the opponent team with his all-rounding experience. He is also an outstanding fielder and can turn the game in one go. In the auction, Kings XI Punjab will look forward to grab Marsh by throwing big from there purse.
Siddharth Kaul
Siddharth Kaul has proven to be the most significant breakthrough in the IPL season 2017. He has been the bowling sensation of the year for SRH with his Yorkers and has also proved himself as a death bowler. In the 2018 IPL season, he got 21 wickets for SRH in 17 matches. In the IPL auction of 2020, KXIP would be looking for potential death bowlers for, and in this case, Siddharth Kaul seems to be the best choice. KXIP would need to make an early move to bring Siddharth Kaul in there line up.
