Candidates applied JEE application 2021 and cleared Preliminary and Mains’ exams can now appear in the JEE Advanced 2021 exam on 3rd October. The Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan announced the date today.
This year the exam has been delayed due to the Covid-19 pandemic. However, candidates can check details such as registration, application, eligibility, and exam pattern from www.jeeadv.ac.in. IIT Kharagpur has released the JEE exam information brochure.
While releasing the JEE information brochure earlier, IIT Kharagpur said, “Due to the prevailing COVID-19 pandemic-related circumstances in India, the date of JEE (Advanced) 2021 had earlier been postponed. A new date will be announced in due course.”
The brochure also says that candidates have given leniency to attend JEE Main exam twice this year. In other words, applicants who failed to appear in JEE Advanced last year due to Covid-19 can directly appear in the exam this year.
About JEE Exams
This year, JEE exam conducted four times a year for the first time in order to provide flexibility to students. The JEE Main April and May exams 2021 had also been postponed back in April due to the increase in Covid-19 cases.
However, the Joint Entrance Examination conducts Advanced exam for admission in 23 IITs for undergraduate Engineering, Architecture, and Science courses. Applicants with top ranking in JEE Main exam gets a seat in JEE Advanced.
