Today, the petrol-diesel price saw a hike across all the metro cities, after a day’s pause. Prices of petrol and diesel soared to a new record across the country. However, the petrol price is hiked again by 25 paise whereas diesel price is hiked by 30 paise per litre.
The state-owned fuel retailers’ latest price notification states that the price of petrol in the national capital has increased to its highest ever level at Rs 102.64 a litre, after a hike by 25 paise. In Delhi, the diesel rate has touched a record high of Rs 91.07 per litre, after a hike of 30 paise.
As per today’s revision, petrol is priced at Rs 108.67 per litre and diesel is Rs 98.80 per litre in Mumbai. It is the highest among the Indian metro cities. Meanwhile, the latest revision has increased the petrol prices at Rs 103.36 per litre in Kolkata and diesel at Rs 94.17 per litre.
Tuesday’s price hike was the 6th revision within a week, which saw fuel prices crossed over Rs 100 in several cities including Mumbai, Kolkata, Delhi, Chennai, Kolkata, Bhopal, and more.
