Indian badminton women player PV Sindhu enters the pre-quarterfinals of Tokyo Olympics 2020. The Rio Olympic silver medalist broke no sweat as she eased into the Round of 16 of Women’s Singles badminton at Tokyo 2020 on Wednesday, July 28.
PV Sindhu, seeded 6th at the Games. She came up with a clinical effort against Cheung Ngan Yi of Hong Kong in her final Group J match. Sindhu defeated Chueng 21-9, 21-16 at the Musashino Forest Sport Plaza in Tokyo in a little over 30 minutes.
Sindhu finishes with 4 points from 2 matches in three-woman Group J. She hasn’t lost a single game so far at the Tokyo Olympics 2020. She began her campaign with a win over Tsenia Polikarpova. She is the only Indian player who remained to win a medal in badminton at the Tokyo Olympics.
