About Baal Aadhaar Card: UIDAI (The Unique Identification Authority of India) is now making some modifications in issuing the Aadhaar Cards. An aadhaar card is a very crucial document that everyone needs as identity proof and to avail government scheme benefits. Now Baal Aadhaar Card is coming which is known as the aadhaar of Children under five years old. In simple terms, this document is the aadhaar for children as young as five years. This ID card will provide the children with their unique identity numbers and help them to avail benefits of government service. However, to issue the card government is requesting some crucial documents from the parents. The procedure to issue the Baal Aadhaar Card is somewhat different from issuing an aadhar to adults.

Major rules for Baal Aadhaar Card
- Children under five years are only eligible for Aadhar Card.
- Biometrics are not necessary for youngsters under the age of five.
- When the child reaches the age of 5 the biometrics will be recorded.
Documents requirement for child’s Aadhaar
- The child’s parents must be Indian citizens
- Parents can only apply for the Aadhaar when their child is under the age of five years.
- A child’s birth certificate
- Address proof
- Parent’s will also have to give their Aadhaar Card number.
- Passport size photo of Child
- Parents have to bring all the above documents on the appointment day to the enrollment centre.
- An officer will inspect your documents
- They record biometric data of your child if the age is above five years
