UIDAI has recently stopped the facility of updating addresses in Aadhaar Card through the Address Validation Letter till further orders. The option related to Address Validation Letter from its website has been removed. As per UIDAI,” The facility of address validation letter has been stopped till further orders. You can update your address through any one address proof from this list of other valid address proofs.”

This update might cause problems for those people who live on rent and are willing to switch jobs after a long time, there can be an issue. Those who do not have any other proof to modify the address have landed in big trouble.

No More Aadhaar Card Reprint Old Style
The second on the list is that UIDAI has stopped the service of Aadhaar Card Reprint in the old style. Now it will issue PVC cards. The new card will be different from the old card and will have a shape like that of a debit card. It will be easy to carry in wallets while traveling. As per a tweet from Aadhar Help Centre,” Dear Resident, Order Aadhaar Reprint service has been suspended. Instead you can order Aadhaar PVC Card online. At the same time, if you want, you can also take a print out of E-Aadhaar and keep it in paper format.”The tweet was in response to the query of a user.
