In Badaun, Uttar Pradesh, the Police outpost in charge, two unidentified men, four constables, total seven people are accused of torturing a 22 years old man who was a suspect in a cattle slaughtering case.
UP Cops Tortured By Inserting Rod And Electric Shocks
Alleged by his mother, during an interrogation led by sub-inspector Satya Pal, the suspect was tortured by cops in a most brutal manner which includes shoving a stick in his genitals and giving continuous electric shocks.
On the basis of authentic legal reports and after finding the accusations to be true by preliminary investigations, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) O.P has instructed the CO of Dataganj, Prem Kumar Thapa to investigate further.
Police have booked a case against the men under “sections 342 (wrongful confinement) and 323 (voluntarily causing hurt) of the IPC.”
Victim Suffering From Seizures
The tortured victim and a part-time vegetable seller have been admitted to the hospital, he is suffering from repeated seizures. He is a resident of the Karkala area which falls under the jurisdiction of the Alapur police station.
In the matter, Praveen Singh Chauhan, Superintendent of Police, said, “The allegations against five policemen were found to be true during a preliminary investigation. We have registered an FIR against them for wrongful confinement and torture. Steps are being taken to suspend them and an impartial investigation will be carried out in this case. We are also supporting the family to ensure the best possible treatment for the victim.”

Up cops tortured suspect was taken to the police station on May 2, as they were suspicious about him of being involved with a suspect that was charged under multiple cow slaughtering cases. After being tortured for a whole night he was released & given ₹100 after police noticed they have taken the wrong person into custody.
The suspect’s sister in law said, “The policemen tortured and thrashed my brother-in-law the whole night. After realising that they had picked the wrong person, they gave him Rs 100 and sent him back home after two days. Since then, he has been getting seizures every day. He was rushed to the hospital on Friday after his health condition deteriorated.”
Meanwhile, doctors said he is having seizures continuously as the nervous system was affected obviously by shocks given to him.
