Ending the wait of millions of students the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) announced it’s new exam calendar on Friday. The Civil Services prelims exam which was to be conducted on 31st May 2020 is now being pushed to the month of October. Along with other exams like NDA, Combined Medical Services, IES, etc are also pushed.
The Civil Services exam would now be conducted on the 4th of October, 2020. Earlier this date was reserved for UPSC’s EPFO exam which would now be conducted at some other date. The UPSC 2020 Mains exam would now take place next year from January 8th.

Here is the updates from the new calendar released by UPSC:
- Interviews of UPSC 2019 would begin from July 2020. This was halted in the month of March 2020.
- IFS ( Indian Forest Service) preliminary examinations will now be conducted on October 4.
- Indian Forest Service (Mains) Examination 2020 will be held on February 28, 2021.
- A common examination for both NDA& NA Exam (I) and NDA & NA Exam (II), 2020 will be held on 06.09.2020.
- The application portal for NDA, NA exam will be active till June 30.
The UPSC board will release another notification on June 10 to provide clarification about some other exam related details.
