US President Donald Trump would visit India on Feburary 24-25 ahead of the Presidential election in the USA on November 3, 2020.
During the visit, Trump will visit Delhi and Ahmedabad to strengthen the bilateral partnership between the two countries White House said on Tuesday. President Trump will be accompanied by First Lady Melania Trump.
White House Secretary Stephanie Grisham while making the announcement said that Donald Trump and PM Narendra Modi had a telephonic conversation over the weekend about the plan.

“During a phone call over the weekend, President Trump and Prime Minister Modi agreed the trip would further strengthen the India-US strategic partnership and highlight the strong and enduring bonds between the American and Indian people,” she said.
The news of Trump’s visit comes months after PM Modi’s tour of the US in September, during which he met with the US President in New York on the sidelines of the 74th session of the UN General Assembly.

The two leaders had also shared the stage at ”Howdy Modi’‘ rally in Houston. The event was attended by as many as 50,000 Indian Americans.
