WhatsApp is a direct messaging app owned by Meta Facebook and has over 487 million active users in India. The developers are planning to make the calling feature more accessible to its users.
WhatsApp will roll out a new feature through Google Play Beta Program and bringing 2.22.6.5 version. The developers are testing a feature that will allow you to share links to join WhatsApp call in future update. Last year WhatsApp worked on several updates to improve the quality of its voice and video call features. Now call links feature will be a game changer to improve the user experience.
Right now you can join group calls even if the call has started but very soon it will become more convenient. You will be able to create call links and send it to whosoever you want within your contact list or outside it. But the person should have WhatsApp on their mobile to join it. You might be thinking that it sounds like Messenger Rooms shortcut.
But it is not messenger room shortcut because in that you did not need to have a Facebook account necessarily. But as WhatsApp calls are end-to-end encrypted you can only join calls if you have the app in your smartphone. The feature is under development.
