The most popular instant messaging app, WhatsApp has recently introduced multiple new features for its users and its most recent feature will help you send disappearing messages.
You must be wondering that this feature was already available so what is there to talk about it another time? Truth be told, the Meta-owned company, WhatsApp is working on a better version of the previously available ‘View Once’ feature.
At the time of the initial release of the feature, there was just one limited option available for the sender and the recipient which was that the message would disappear after seven days. Eventually, this time frame was updated to be between 24 hours and 90 days.
In addition to this, the recipient cannot share this message further with other contacts. Sharing includes both, from the gallery or forwarding it through the app. If you find this feature useful, you can also get it if you are a user of the latest WhatsApp Beta for Android, version 2.22.25.20.
WhatsApp has already made this feature active for photos and videos. When you send some media to someone, who can choose if you want to send it as a view once feature. When you do this, the recipient can not take a screenshot of the media you send.
The news is that the same feature will be enabled for the view once messages, where you can send a text that can be seen once and no screenshots, could be taken of it.
Unlike the ‘view-once feature’ for media, the ‘view-once message’ is not available for all users but for a limited set of people for testing. They can currently use this feature for text messages with the help of a button icon with an added padlock. However, the design may change when the feature is made available to the rest of the users.
