
Air India plane flying from Ahmedabad to London Crashes Minutes After Take Off
The occurrence took place between 1-2pm on Thursday 12th June. Flight Al 171 From Ahmedabad to London Gatwick. At least 133 people were killed in the incident.
Flights from Sardar Vallabhai Ahmedabad Airport have been temporarily suspended as per the official statement issued as per Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) Passengers are requested to contact their airlines for any updates on their flight status.
Passengers On board
Per reports there were 242 people onboard including 2 pilots 10 crew members and 230 passengers among which. The flight has 169 Indian Nationals and 53 British National 1 Canadian national and 7 Portuguese National as per Air India. Captain Sumeet Sabharwal is an LTC with 8200 hours of flying experience.

The visuals front the tradey were quick to circulate social media platforms as grey heavy smoke was observed near Meghaninagar as a part of the plane crashed into a student hostel.
Prime Minister gave a prompt response to the plane crash calling “The tragedy in Ahmedabad has stunned and saddened us. It is heartbreaking beyond words. In this sad hour, my thoughts are with everyone affected by it. Have been in touch with Ministers and authorities who are working to assist those affected,”

As per Air Traffic Control a MAYDAY call was made to ATC however no response was given to the calls made by ATC .
