Starting May 2025, Janseva camps will be held in every Assembly constituency across Delhi for seniors aged seventy and above to get their Ayushman Vay Vandana Cards. This is part of the Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB PM-JAY), which gives free healthcare up to Rs 10 lakh to eligible people in India, no matter their caste or religion.
Verma, the Public Works Department (PWD) Minister, said he will sponsor a camp at his home, 20 Windsor Place, Janpath, from May 5th to May 20th, 2025. The camp will be open from 10 AM to 4 PM, Monday to Saturday. “Register for free. The Janseva Card for citizens is being given at this camp. The Janta Party is giving priority to senior citizens. With Modiji’s vision, we want to help every person and their families,” Verma said.
Local MLAs Are Helping Too
Many Members of the Legislative Assembly (MLAs) are also helping with this campaign:
- Kasturba Nagar MLA Neeraj Basoiya has set up a center in Seva Nagar and with the Senior Citizen Club in Lajpat Nagar 4. Another location will change every week.
- Malviya Nagar MLA Satish Upadhyay has already held camps at two different places in his area.
- Hari Nagar MLA Harish Khurana talked about his office in Mansarovar Garden and senior citizens’ clubs in Kirti Nagar and Ramesh Nagar, where he also held camps.
These efforts make sure all senior citizens in Delhi can easily get their Ayushman Vay Vandana Cards.
Making Sure No One Misses Out
If someone can’t come to the camp, there are other ways to help. Teams will visit homes so no eligible senior misses out.
The Ayushman Vay Vandana Card will keep medical records, allow regular check-ups, emergency checks, and show needed treatments. After getting the card, seniors can get treatment in hospitals under the scheme in Delhi and later in other parts of the country.
The Janseva camps are a big step forward to improve healthcare for Delhi’s seniors and show the government’s promise to care for them.
