Good News for Commuters! Namo Bharat Fare Cut to ₹180 Between New Ashok Nagar & Meerut South
The National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) has reduced the price of the Namo Bharat train’s luxury carriages in an attempt to increase passenger volume. From New Ashok Nagar to Meerut South, the cost of the ticket has been lowered from Rs 225 to Rs 180. On other routes, comparable price reductions have also been implemented.
In addition to this tariff change, NCRTC has opened a contemporary co-working facility at the Namo Bharat station in Ghaziabad. With its cutting-edge facilities and Internet of Things (IoT) technologies, the workplace is ideal for professionals, entrepreneurs, and small company owners, offering a clever, effective, and reasonably priced working environment.
Previously, the premium coach price was fifty percent more expensive than the regular rate, but today it is just twenty percent more expensive. For example, the premium cost will now be Rs 120 rather than Rs 150 if the basic fare is Rs 100. Additionally, passengers in premium coaches have access to exclusive lounges at specific stations.
Low occupancy in the luxury coaches is the reason for the price reduction. In order to boost overall utilisation and income, NCRTC hopes that more travellers would choose the premium option as a result of the updated tariffs.
On the concourse level of the recently opened co-working facility at Ghaziabad station, there are 42 open desks, 11 private cabins, and two fully furnished conference rooms. According to NCRTC, the facility is a component of its initiative to help professionals in the area find more intelligent work and travel options.
