India’s oldest chimpanzee Rita, acquired by the aforementioned country from Amsterdam Zoo in 1990, died on October 1. The Chimpanzee had reportedly been fighting age-related issues and multiple organ failures. Due to the same reasons, the 59-year-old chimpanzee had been put on a liquid diet. The zoo officials had earlier installed a TV screen for the visitors to see the oldest chimpanzee.
